An elf is offering me a free dinner. And good wine.

That is very charitable. Who are you, when you go to get this free dinner?

[positioning]

I am myself, if I were a shy artist who came down from the mountains in search of a patron for my art. It is hard to lie about a name when so many already know it.

[ sucks to stay in one place, rly. ]

We will go tonight. Free dinner and wine and we will make good conversation with this elf. Do you know anyone who draws?

[deceivingly]

I can find someone who draws. Tell me what they should be drawing, and then do not worry about this. You must work on acting shy. It does not come naturally to you.

What if I do not take anything, but, if we are eating something and those very very small forks are there, and one disappears--that could happen on its own. They are so small. They must always be falling between floorboards.

[positioning]

Only the little forks, [ Aleksei cautions. ] But of course if he decides not to hire me then it is a different story.

[ all bets, off. ]
